The United States and Israel have a relationship that is like a big-brother, little-brother setup.  As of late, the big brother (the U.S.) hasn’t covered the little brother’s (Israel) back.  What I am referring to here is the tense scenario between Israel and Iran,  As most of you already know, Iran hates Israel and wants to eliminate them from the planet.  We also know that Iran is also building up its nuclear arsenal, as well – and Israel is obviously mindful of this fact.

But from what has transpired recently, Israel is readying itself to launch a massive serial attack on Iranian nuclear facilities within days of getting the go-ahead from the country’s new government.  And the Israelis are making plenty of preparations in the event that Iran returns the favor.  They are acquiring three Airborne Warning and Control aircraft which will perform regional missions to simulate an attack – a dress rehearsal, if you will.

A couple nationwide civil defense drills will help in getting the Israeli citizenry ready for a possible Iranian attack; officials in the know think that Israel would be required – to be successful – to take out more than a dozen targets, including moving convoys.  The air distance for one of the Iranian targets is more than 870 miles, which is a distance that the Israeli air force has used in performing exercises which involved F-15 and F-16 jets, helicopters and refueling tankers.

I would suspect that the Israelis will not make this attack without at least tacit approval from us.  That in and of itself is questionable since President Obama is getting conciliatory towards Iran as of late.  And there’s people who question whether the operation would be successful, including Ephraim Kam of the Institute for National Security Studies.  According to Kam, he thinks that we will not approve the attacks, adding:

“The American defence establishment is unsure that the operation will be successful. And the results of the operation would only delay Iran’s programme by two to four years.”

Ironically or not, Obama is due for a visit to Israel in June – right in time for the Iranian national elections – which may allow the U.S. time to weigh their options in reference to diplomatic resolutions with Iran before hearing Israel’s position.  But nonetheless, Israel has made it known that they will perform their largest nationwide drill to date next month.  As part of that exercise, the Israelis, along with U.S. troops, will test the effectiveness of Arrow – its U.S.-funded missile defense system.

But regardless of anything I have said, the following statement from an official from the Israeli Defense Ministry says it best:

“Israel has made it clear that it will not tolerate the threat of a nuclear Iran. According to Israeli Intelligence they will have the bomb within two years … Once they have a bomb it will be too late, and Israel will have no choice to strike — with or without America.”

So there you have it folks.  What people do not understand about Israel is that they didn’t get to where there at in just 61 years time by being this socialist country – which they are obviously not.  It is apparent that they have been quite capable of taking care of themselves, and I really think that the country will take out Iran – with or without us – something I have said on at least one occasion here at The Temple and on some of the episodes at The Republican Temple’s broadcasts.

Since all the Obama administration seems to want to do is try and make our enemies our friends, it is looking more than likely that Israel will be doing its own dirty work.  And you know what?  I don’t blame them one bit.  At least the head of Israel’s government has some balls – unlike our president.

Re: Israel can look after itself.
Without the US and other contributors to Israel over the decades there would be no Israel with nuclear bombs and the largest military in the region and beyond. Without such help there would be a much lower standard of living. so much for looking after itself.
