If it isn’t one thing, it’s another.  Congress is always striving to find ways to tax us, creatively or otherwise.  And the proposed health care reform that the Obama administration is trying to ram down our throats.  The latest scheme, led by Senate Finance Committee chairman Max Baucus, involves taxing some employer-provided benefits to somehow help pay for this $1 billion health care reform.  Socialized medicine to some and universal health care to others; any way you slice it, it is Socialist in nature.

Specifically, what Baucus has in mind is proposing to tax Americans whose health insurance is valued at a higher rate than what is offered to Federal employees (Wow, big surprise there!!).  Of course, the unions want their healthcare benefits “grandfathered in”, meaning that they want “contractually negotiated benefits” left alone.

This is yet another scheme by the Obama administration – with Baucus as the ringmaster – to take money from not just our pockets, but our employers, as well.  Which is wrong.  Again, I am going to ask those of you who are readers of The Republican Temple to contact your local lawmakers (congressmen and senators alike) and tell them that you vigorously disapprove of this healthcare scheme.

It is painfully obvious here that Obamacare is Socialist in scope and the audacity of this administration to tax us further by taxing our current health benefits is wrong.  And those of you who happen to be members of a union – if you subscribe to the core values of the Republican Party – then I would implore you to contact your local lawmakers, as well.

This administration is raping us financially and look to ensure that we at some point of time lose our healthcare benefits through our employers, as well.  This is the time to become proactive, and yes – this is a call to arms.
