The Department of Defense announced today the death of two Marines who were supporting Operation Enduring Freedom:

• Lance Cpl. Pedro A. Barbozaflores, 27, of Glendale, Calif., and Master Sgt. Jerome D. Hatfield, 36, of Axton, Va., died July 11 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. They were assigned to 2^nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 2^nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
