You thought the Socialist health plan that President Obama was bad enough in its current state?  Well get this.  This past Friday, the Democrats defeated a GOP-backed amendment that would have prevented illegal aliens from receiving government-subsidized health care – a plan obviously endorsed by the Democraps and President Obama.

What this plan does folks is give free health care to to more than 45 million uninsured people here in America – a good percentage of them whom are illegal aliens.  Lots of negatives to this bill, for certain.

Firstly, the bill would disallow health agencies from conducting simple database checks to verify citizenship.  As it is already, a lot of states give illegals drivers licenses – which would in the eyes of the Democraps – that’s right, Democraps – be sufficient enough to get free taxpayer-funded health care.

It is also common knowledge that illegals make use of fake Social Security cards and/or other fraudulent documents.  What makes this worse is the fact that there is no mechanism in place to prevent illegals who use fake IDs to obtain jobs from also getting taxpayer-subsidized health insurance. 

The GOP amendment would have required that individuals applying for the public health care option would have to go through two systems that are used to verify citizenship.  One is The Income and Eligibility Verification System (IEVS) and the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE); both systems cross-reference Social Security numbers and employment information to establish whether an individual is a U.S. citizen.

Of course, there’s other pitfalls that would take place with this bill.  You can rest assured that the illegals, upon passage of this bill, would flood the borders as their home countried offer no such entitlement.  As it is, some of the border and non-border states have shouldered heavy financial burdens in reference to illegals obtaining free medical care.  Some examples, based on 2004 figures:

• California – $1.4 billion
• Texas – $850 million
• Arizona – $400 million
• Virginia – $100 million
• Florida – $300 million

So you see folks, this just simply bad legislation.  Another little known thing that’s been under the radar: immigration reform.  The Democrats are all over that issue, as well.  And the two issues go hand-in-hand.  The Democraps want some form of amnesty program – sounds Socialist, doesn’t it? – that would allow the millions of illegals currently in the States to go to the 10-items-or-less express aisle and get citizenship.

Now should this bill fail once it comes up for a vote – and I expect it to fail – then the illegals amnesty bill will be unnecessary.  What I do endorse is that since Congress likes to spend money like a drunken sailor on shore leave, they should set aside enough money to round up all of the illegals nationwide and ship them back to their country of origin.  That money would actually be some good, old-fashioned justifiable spending.
